We endeavour to work with people who share our concerns about global sustainability. For those that don’t, we will raise the issues where relevant in the hope that it can promote positive change.

We will purchase organic where possible to:
- Prevent ill health to food producers who come into contact with harmful chemicals through direct handling or indirectly through water contamination
- Protect nature’s bio-diversity by enabling natural, organic agricultural processes to prevail
To enable better health and sustainability:
- We will promote a lower intake of meat and vegetarian alternatives where appropriate
- We will purchase where possible, only loose fruit & vegetables to avoid unnecessary styrofoam trays & plastic packaging, as well as the purchasing of unnecessary quantities of food
- We will source our food from local independent shops to promote a stronger local economy
- We will promote seasonality as a low carbon, fresher and cheaper alternative to food sourced from further afield
- We will promote and show the public how to eat resourcefully by eating / cooking food types in its entirety and not just parts of it
- We will encourage the cooking of leftovers to minimise food waste
- We will compost all our food waste using bio-degradable bags and promote similar practise within the home
- We will only use bio-degradable washing up liquid and washing powder for our laundry
- We will try to keep car use to a minimum preferring public transport and bicycle use instead. We will encourage collaborators, suppliers and customers to do the same
- We shall keep printing to a minimum and use only recycled paper when doing so. We use soya based inks and recycled paper for our professionally printed leaflets.
