TLM Centre, April 2016

All the families that are involved in this project, so far, have really enjoyed taking part. The project has given the opportunity for parents and children to undertake a fun activity together but also made them think more about the food they eat. After the cooking sessions everyone gave positive feedback about what they had learnt.

Sitting down together at the end of the sessions to eat the food they had made has been a very positive experience for the families.

Places for People, April 2016

Great interaction with  those attended. Children engaged and had fun

GMCVO Project Team Away Day – Sushi Making, July 2016

Everyone enjoyed it, even two younger members of the team who didn’t want to eat it!  They still gave good feedback.  The session worked well for members of the team with differing levels of experience and confidence.  The cooking leader was very personable and pitched the session well.

International Women’s Day – March 2014
Thank you so much for coming to the event today; it was something we’ve never done before and the food was delicious. I know you would normally do more of an interactive demonstration, but the group today really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and just watching and sampling food that many of them wouldn’t normally try. The women who did participate got a lot from it and we have the photos to prove it!
I would love to work with you again in the future and will definitely recommend you to everyone I know!
Thanks again

Barlow Hall Community School – Nov 2013
After completing 2 very successful ‘Cracking Good Food’ 4 week courses, the parents and myself are sad to say ‘Good bye’.
Tracey, Miranda and Kim have been one of the best outside agencies I have had the pleasure of working with!
CGF team have delivered what they said on the tin and more! They provided all equipment/ food/ everything. From a school point of view we provided the room, tea and coffee and not forgetting our lovely parents!
The CGF team have given many parents not just cooking experience but skills for life, to impact on healthier children and themselves!
This has been one of the best experiences I have been able to share with our parents.
The CGF team has changed not only the way I look at food and food waste, but that of a school!
A BIG thankyou from all the parents and most of all ME!
Hope to carry on with this great work!

I would like to say how much I admire the work people from Cracking Good Food and the Lost Plot have changed the way people from Nell Lane estate think of each other, many people have never met until they came to the Lost Plot and Cracking Good Food, although they have lived on the same estate for at least thirty years, its amazing how eating food can really bring all sorts of people together its about time, and I would hate it to stop.
