We also run Cooks on the Hop (cooking sessions on the Hop) which can happen anywhere.
We launched Cracking Good Food with Cooks on the Hop at Chorlton’s Big Green Festival in 2010
and then turned up a year later with more Cooks on the Hop to celebrate our 1st birthday.
We are pleased to announce we recently came 1st out of 13 great projects at Manchester City Council’s U Decide scheme in our bid for £450 to run another Cooks On The Hop event at Chorlton’s Big Green Festival on 31 March 2012.
We look forward to seeing you there!
We have cooked in parks, fields, street corners, precincts, carparks, festivals and allotments!
These are one-off events and usually open to everyone (sometimes at festivals we take advance bookings). We ask for a small donation from participants.
So far we have cooked on the hop at:
Chorlton’s Big Green Festival
Unity festival
Unicorn car park
Manley Park (part of Meat Free Monday with Friends of the Earth)
Chorlton Precinct (part of Chorlton Arts Festival)
with Bite Mental Health in Southern Allotment
Glebelands City Growers, Sale
Nell Lane Estate, Chorlton
and outside Hickson & Blacks Deli
