The Covid 19 pandemic, repercussions of Brexit, vast poverty and inequality exacerbated by more than a decade of Austerity politics, and an impending climate crisis have exposed the fragility of our food system. Profit is consistently put ahead of public health. Urgent work is needed to combat hunger, malnutrition and diet related diseases, to increase knowledge and understanding surrounding healthy eating and to share the skills to cook from scratch.
Your donation will help us to continue our vital work to foster and inspire good food culture throughout the region. We aim to combat hunger, improve diet, minimise food waste and increase resourcefulness to create resilient and food-secure communities who have ample access to sustainably sourced, affordable, appropriate food and the skills to cook it from scratch into nutritious meals. We support a wide range of communities including those side-lined by poverty, homelessness, domestic abuse, social isolation, the criminal justice system and the care system.
