You’d be forgiven for expecting to find almost nothing on a wild food forage in December. And while the rewards aren’t quite as immediate as some other times of year, with a little effort there are some excellent and easy-to-identify wintertime wild foods still peeping through, from leafy greens, roots, fruits and fungi. This walk is an excellent excuse to be outdoors on a cold winter’s day – but hardy foragers need to be prepared to brace the bitterness and come wrapped up warm! The forage will last approximately 2 hours and will be capped off with cooking and sampling of our best finds.
Meet at the Fletcher Moss main park entrance on Wilmslow Road, next to The Didsbury Pub, 852 Wilmslow Rd, Manchester M20 2SG
Please note! Our foraging sessions start promptly, so arrive 10 minutes before that time. It is important that you arrive on time, so that others are not kept waiting. While we always try to finish on time, there is always a chance that a foraging & cooking session could run over slightly, so please be prepared for this.
Please note, if you are having any difficulty finding us, or need to call someone in the hour before the cooking session for any other reason, please call Jesper on 07900544826.
