Cracking Good Food

Kitchen Kit Call It

A lack of cooking equipment is one of the many barriers people experiencing food insecurity can face to cooking-from-scratch and eating well. We are passionate about helping to break down that barrier, whilst ensuring that perfectly good kitchen equipment is kept out of landfill.

Through our award-winning Kitchen Kit Call Out campaign, we seek donations of pre-loved kitchen equipment and redistribute it to people in need of support via our manycommunity projectsacross Greater Manchester. Past donations have been redistributed to people in supported housing, to homeless prevention hostels and amongst communities accessing emergency food provision via food banks and pantry schemes.

In 2021 we were lucky enough to start being supported by theAlbermarle Community AllotmentPlot in Withington. As a result, we now also accept pre-loved gardening equipment to help our volunteers grow food for the community.

Can you help us by making a donation or arranging a collection amongst friends/colleagues?

We can redistribute the following items, providing they are clean and still in good condition (we will happily accept new donations too, but in line with our sustainability ethos we prefer to redistribute  unused pre-owned items)
